 o provide an opportunity for people to gather:  making music\, learning n
 ew singing skills\, maintaining and improving our vocal health\, and havin
 g fun singing together. While we are not a performance choir\, we enjoy sh
 aring our music with others and during a season may perform at local senio
 rs centers and on occasion\, assist in leading music for the good people o
 f James Bay United Church. \n\nChristine Chepyha\, our music leader\, has
  been involved in choirs since her teens. She is the co-founder and co-dir
 ector of the SingYourJoy Young Adult Chorus and currently co-leads the SYJ
  Children's Chorus.  Creating music together with others in a fun and sou
 l-soothing place is an important part of the James Bay Community Chorus\, 
 and we invite all ages to join us.\nWe are grateful to James Bay United Ch
 urch for providing a welcoming space for our weekly rehearsals. \nPlan to
  make singing part of your 2026 activities for you - we are singing now!
