 n numerous styles — from his early days in folk music\, Irish traditions
 \, and Gypsy jazz under the tutelage of legendary guitarist Marc Atkinson\
 , to later explorations of traditional jazz under the guidance of friend a
 nd mentor\, legendary banjo player and early jazz historian Borgy Borgeson
  — Avram has forged a musical identity all his own.\nA leader of numerou
 s musical ventures\, including the beloved Capital City Syncopators\, the 
 Stomp Club\, and the Avram McCagherty Trio\, he is also an indispensable m
 ember of groups such as the Yiddish Columbia State Orchestra\, Canus\, and
  more.\nIn this special presentation\, Avram brings together long-time mus
 ical friends and Victoria legends: clarinettist and saxophonist Al Pease\,
  drummer Matt Pease\, bassist Joey Smith\, and pianist/vocalist Brooke Max
