Thank you Suzanne Lawrence for offering these brief video encounters inviting us to live deeply and truthfully.

June 6th, 2020: The Gift of Failure

Failure is one of the most intelligent and effective gifts that can come our way. As we make our way on the hero's path, we are bound to be met (and often clobbered) by obstacles, fears and limitations. Sometimes, our greatest failures leave us speechless, undone and intensely vulnerable. There is wondrous wisdom at the heart of failure. As we try, try and try again to declare ourselves as someone or something special in the world, failure comes to wake us up. A sentinel of the soul, failure is there to invite us into remembering who we truly are. Our natural innocence and redemptive love find their way through the brokenness and we become better and better at failing.... at loving... at being Heroes.

May 22nd, 2020: Did You Ever Know You Were Your Hero?

The human Heart, our Heart, is large enough to hold whatever has threatened to destroy us. Over lifetimes and generations we have proven ourselves to be highly adaptive survivors. Much to our dismay however, all these exquisite strategies have not brought us to the promised land. We lament and grieve our somewhat un-lived life. As we are now in a collective "wilderness experience", we are asked to return to the Heart. Together, with courage and earnestness we access the wellspring of resilience. With deep listening we follow as we are guided out of the desert and on to the hero's path..... stepping into the fullness of our lives.

Cultivating courage in a time when that seems the last thing we’re inclined to be about.

May 9th, 2020: Checking in with your mental health?

Welcome to the New Now.

As our lives continue to ebb and flow, we all seek safety and comfort from one another. This can make this time of social distancing particularly sorrowful and stressful.

Our communities are "opening up" and we don't really know how or what this will mean for us. We are vulnerable and it seems there is no unchanging ground on which to place our seemingly solid feet. We have doubts.

I encourage us to neither dwell in the past nor let our thoughts run to any imagined future.

We are here..breathing and caring for each other, for the world and for ourselves right Now.

Can you feel it?
You are welcome every moment.
And, Now...and Now...

Always, Suzanne
