Kelby MacNayr's Swing Rhythm Kings take a musical deep dive into the spirit and exuberance of the legendary bands of the SWING era!

Join us for this special concert in honour of Remembrance Day, featuring music from the great bandleaders and composers of the time – Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin, and MORE!

Special guest trombonist Brad Shigeta brings experience from the legendary bands of Count Basie and Duke Ellington and collaborations with Wynton Marsalis, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, and more.

The JBUC Sunday Worship Choir will be singing for the first Sunday in Advent, and everyone in the community is invited to join, regardless of musical ability. Whether you're a first-time singer or a seasoned choir member, your voice is welcome! We have two Sunday afternoon rehearsals before the service, and rehearsal files are available for practice at home.

Join us for an unforgettable evening as Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church presents Windsor/Detroit-based trumpet virtuoso Russ Macklem & Friends! Russ, whose JUNO-nominated album The South Detroit Connection has made waves, brings his artistry to James Bay United Church on November 19 at 7 PM. Featuring an incredible lineup with guitarist Sam Dickenson, bassist John Lee, drummer Kelby MacNayr, and special guest saxophonist Mike Allen, this performance brings together top jazz talent from Detroit, Toronto, Gabriola Island, and Victoria. Admission is by donation (suggested $20), and everyone is welcome!

Eden and Jeff Poynter are incredible West-Coast Indie Folk Artists, and we are very fortunate to have them performing in our space at James Bay United.
