Lachlan Craven QuintetAs part of the Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church's Young Artist Series we are thrilled to be hosting the fabulous young trumpet player extraordinaire Lachlan Craven! Come join with others tonight as Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church proudly presents: Lachlan Craven Quintet celebrates the music of jazz legend Kenny Dorham! Growing up in Qualicum Beach, Lachlan was inspired by the rich tradition of World-Class jazz musicians from the North Island such as Phil Dwyer, Ken Lister, Rick Kilburn and his own father, tenor saxophonist Dan Craven. Pursuing his own studies both formally and privately, Lachlan is quickly becoming a rising star musician on the Canadian jazz scene. Featuring young bassist Brock Medes, tenor saxophonist Dan Craven in their Tuesday Night Jazz debut, as well as the stellar Dr. Tony Genge and Kelby MacNayr, this quintet will be hot!
