a very full week

I want to quickly add a personal note about this very full and exciting week:

1- TONIGHT 7pm:  Two awesome jazz musicians alone on stage together sharing - collaborating - creating spontaneously for the audience from their years of experience, knowledge, and raw talent. Some think of jazz as a conversation and sometimes it does have that back-and-forth to it, but it's so much more than listening and responding. It's being in the moment together creating masterpieces on mostly blank canvasses while we get to watch. Piano and Trumpet. Attila Fias and Miguelito-Valdes explore the Art of the Duo! I am so excited to host.

2- THURSDAY 7:30pm: A special edition of jazz at the church. Drummer Kelby MacNayr brings together an ALL-STAR sextet to celebrate the music of jazz legend Miles Davis, performing the music from the iconic Kind of Blue album recorded in March/April of 1959.

3- SATURDAY 4pm to 6pm: Tea and Swing was such a great success last week it's happening again.
