Tuesday night jazz at the church proudly presents the Home for the Holidays Jam Session!

Now in it's 14th year, the Home for the Holidays Jam Session is a Victoria favourite featuring many of the city's renowned jazz artists and visiting musicians' – local professionals and amateurs in a celebration of community, joy and musical inspiration!

Hosted by renowned drummer Kelby MacNayr and featuring bassist Peter Dowse and pianist Dr. Tony Genge.

From all of us who organise and volunteer in the Art’s Ministry at James Bay United Church, a very special thank you – to you! This past year has been important as we complete the recovery from the pandemic years, with our Tuesday congregation returning in solid numbers and the production of some very high quality live stream performances on our growing YouTube channel. We celebrated our 5th birthday together in style and we are poised to bring in the new year with two great events: The Home for the Holidays Jam tonight at 7PM and an afternoon New Years Eve performance you won't want to miss. Our successes are your successes. We don’t exist without your desire to come together to listen to quality live music in a place that holds space for the relationship between musician and observer to develop. We are grateful for your presence, for your encouragement and for your support.

The Victoria Jazz All-Stars reprise a well-loved Victoria tradition - the EARLY NYE Jazz Party! It's a special afternoon celebration for the whole community!

December 31st, 2pm - 4pm

Five of the city's TOP jazz musicians get together to SWING IN the New Year in style with a casual and fun New Years Eve celebration from 2-4 pm at James Bay United Church!
