The Welcome and Opening will be at Irving Park at 1 pm. At the tent, any time after 1pm, you can pick-up your clues for the 10 sites.

When you are finished, come back to the main tent to get your prizes and refreshments and to sign-up to work on one of the ten Calls that speak to you. For those with mobility challenges including Seniors, there will be a mini Scavenger Hunt.

This event is for individuals, families, groups, or teams.

In 2015, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released their Final Report with 94 Calls to Action. These honour residential school survivors, reverse colonial policies, and begin the process of creating just relations with Indigenous people of this land. The Calls cover education, child welfare, languages, housing, healing and many more areas, yet only ten have been implemented.

Participants are invited to form teams, or join an existing team, follow clues and win prizes, as they learn about the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action while exploring the neighbourhood of James Bay, on the homeland of the Lekwungen Peoples, known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. The teams can then take up one of the calls and get to work on it.
