Palm Sunday invites us into Holy Week, and the stories of Jesus’ last days.
It is a day that we move from Hosanna to Crucify him!

Two processions moved into Jerusalem so very long ago,
on a spring day in the year 30, thus our scholars tell us.

Two parades. One was a peasant procession, with Jesus winding his way over cloaks and under palms, announcing justice and the end of violence. The participants celebrating the coming of God’s Kin-dom.
The second was a military procession, a demonstration of both Roman imperial power and Roman imperial theology.  The two processions embody the main conflict of the week that led to the crucifixion of Jesus.

You are invited to lean into the stories and open your heart to the Love of God.

Our worship each Sunday is intended to be a collective experience, a communal practice.

We might step into whatever is our sanctuary, each one of us as individuals, and yet as we assemble, from wherever we are, we become a people, drawn together through song and prayer, through word and ritual, and through the Spirit who breathes through it all, through us all.

One and the same Spirit uniting us breathing us into life!
