Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church proudly presents the Ryan Oliver Quartet featuring Vancouver-based drummer Joe Poole

Saxophonist Ryan Oliver has been a force in the Canadian music scene for over 20 years. A graduate of the prestigious jazz program at Rutgers University, Ryan has been based in New York City, Amsterdam, Toronto and now calls Victoria home.

For this special presentation, Ryan assembles an all-star quartet featuring Nanaimo bassist Alex Coleman, swinging piano player Tony Genge and special guest drummer Joe Poole.

Expect the huge sound of the legendary saxophonists, a little bit of blues, and a whole bunch of soul in this classic jazz setting.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who was able to contribute to the sanctuary stage renovation. The work is complete and we look forward to showing off the inviting spacious new look when we see you on Tuesday night! We are still gratefully accepting your donations to this project and will present a final report to you in next week's Jazz-y news.
