Tuesday, September 12th at 7pmThis month the Blue Note Repertory All-Stars celebrate the quintessential jazz composer, pianist and arranger extraordinaire Horace Silver. Silver came to prominence with Art Blakey‘s Jazz Messengers, Miles Davis and more, composing many songs that have become classics and standards within the jazz language and hundreds more lesser-known gems. Featuring incendiary Cuban trumpet player Miguelito Valdes, virtuoso saxophonist Ryan Oliver, swinging piano player Dr. Tony Genge, thumping upright bassist Scott White and drummer extraordinaire Kelby MacNayr. Please join us for this special night celebrating the sass, soul and swing of Horace Silver.
