Moderator's Easter Message
We are the body of Christ that God is resurrecting. We are the body of Christ who must say with our very lives, “Death has no dominion.” I think that Easter, the resurrection, is a trumpet call that calls to the church, to the body of Christ, to all Jesus’ disciples—to fantastic actions that bring life. AS A FOLLOW-UP TO THE SCREENING OF US & THEM(and other movies we’ve watched during Lent) -- Imagining there is a swirl of inner responses to the experience of seeing the movie, you are invited to gather with others who have been moved in their own way. Often we have significant experiences, and then we “move on” into the rest of the week, the rest of our lives, and we drop the thing that was beginning to happen in us ... we ignore ourselves and miss the opportunity to attend to whatever was transpiring through that encounter. This 4 hour time on Saturday April 27 is designed to give us the opportunity to listen to what’s bubbling up in ourselves, whatever may be needing care, the room to feel, to wonder aloud. It’s about having the chance to tune into our heart’s desire. It’s about making space to honour our own experience and see where that might take us personally and together. Saturday, April 27, 10am-2pm in the church hall. Facilitated by Suzanne Lawrence, Psycho-Spiritual Therapist, and Karen Dickey. Register by April 23: jbuchurch@gmail.com or call the church office:250 384-5821 |
