Sunday WorshipSunday, June 22, 2025 With Saturday, June 21 being National Indigenous Peoples Day, our Sunday worship will be themed accordingly. This is a time to honour the strength and resilience of individuals and Indigenous communities, and to honour the many diverse spiritualities practiced by Indigenous folks. We read from Paul’s letter to the Galatians, which teaches about unity. While it is tempting to syncretize the teachings of Jesus with Indigenous spirituality and mythology – and indeed there are many common themes – we also do well to honour the differences to better understand the many dimensions of God/Creator/Holy Mystery. In Loving Memory of Aleksa
With great sadness, we relay the news that Aleksa Harkness died in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Her wonderful spirit will continue to fill the sanctuary and the thrift shop as we grieve the loss of a dear friend and companion. We hold Judy and Sean in our prayers. There will be a service at the church at a date to be determined. |
