DINNER + MOVIE REVEAL!

November 15, 5:45 pm

This Saturday, November 15, our Dinner + Movie Night will feature the beloved film: “Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe”! Set in a small Southern town during the early Civil Rights era, this heartwarming and sometimes hilarious story follows two best friends as they open a café and navigate friendship, courage, and unexpected adventures.

Don’t forget to bring a friend! Come for the food, stay for the story, and enjoy an evening of laughter, inspiration, and community.

Sunday Worship

Sunday Worship

November 16, 10:15 am

In keeping with the shortening days and greying skies, we focus our Sunday worship on embracing the darkness. We offer our laments before God, acknowledge our despair or doubt, and come together to remind one another that we are not alone. Ultimately, we remember that light always follows darkness. When faced with wisdom and care, the struggle can bring new life.

Pledge Campaign Update

Pledge Campaign Update

Our pledge campaign is going very well. Pledges are still trickling in and we suspect these last few just might push us over our target. Thank you! (Rev Greg is sharpening his razor to shave off the moustache.)

Helping with Communion Preparation

Helping with Communion Preparation

The Worship Committee is looking for folks to help prepare and clean up Communion. Typically, we celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month, as well as on the Sundays of Advent and Lent. Preparation and clean-up each take about 15 minutes (before and after the service).

If this seems like a meaningful way to contribute, please contact Rev. Greg at greg.powell@jamesbayunited.com.
