Join us for a very special Tuesday Night Jazz as we welcome Whitehorse pianist and composer Daniel Janke, joined by guest drummer James McRae from Nanaimo and virtuoso bassist Scott White!
Daniel Janke has led an international career performing and recording original works for solo piano and trio for the last two decades. A gifted composer and improviser, Janke brings a unique compositional perspective to his work as a band leader and collaborator. His work is both rhythmic and texture, rooted in tradition and boldly exploring new territories.
Originally honing their craft as young musicians on the West Coast scene, White and McRae were part of the legendary trio Black, White, McRae featuring pianist Miles Black as well as groups such as Loose featuring Marc Atkinson and Daniel Lapp.
