The SingYourJoy Youth Chorus ‘Emerge’ welcomes new singers in January. There are no fees for participation. Only a commitment to grow your skills and love for choral singing. The SingYourJoy Youth Chorus is under the direction of Christine Chepyha and Gordon Miller and is part of the SingYourJoy Family of Choirs. The Cost and Conscience of ProgressJanuary 25 at 2 pm Explore the choices that shape civilization with Jim Flood at U.Vic’s Multifaith Centre. Discuss how justice, ethics, and spirituality define true societal progress. The discussion highlights how religious traditions—Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha’i Faith—define true societal progress through a commitment to justice and ethical order. James Bay Community Emergency Preparedness Workshops
Be part of a three-part workshop series focused on strengthening community resilience in James Bay. Led by Doug Clarke, Emergency Management Community Liaison at the James Bay Community Centre, with contributions from Helen Boyd, RN (Canadian Association of Nurses for the Environment), these sessions will explore emergency preparedness, mapping neighbourhood assets, and identifying changing community needs.
