Sanctuary Open for Prayer Tomorrow

in response to the Tumbler Ridge school tragedy

Dear friends,

Our Sanctuary will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. to noon for anyone who wishes to pray, light a candle, sit in sacred silence, or simply not be alone.

Our hearts break with the news of the devastating shooting in Tumbler Ridge. So many young lives were cut way too short. We pray with the families of the victims. We pray with the family of the shooter, whose life also came to a tragic end.

There are so many questions, including, “where were you God?!” God's heart also breaks in the presence of such darkness, as God witnesses what people do to each other. We try to remember that we are not alone, and that healing and wholeness will come. For now, though, we grieve and we acknowledge the pain.
