Sunday Worship: Palm SundayMarch 29, 10:30–11:30 am This Sunday is Palm Sunday! We begin outside the church to celebrate the arrival of the one who overturns injustice — we celebrate with songs of resistance against authoritarianism and with the waving of fronds. Then we parade into the building for worship, where we will focus on Jesus’ fated entry into Jerusalem. Presiding: Rev. Greg Powell After the Service, from 12:00–1:00 pm we gather for the second of two Sunday Worship Choir rehearsals as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Stations of the CrossOnline Devotional for Holy Week As Rev. Dr. Simon LeSieur, Executive Council President for Pacific Mountain Region, shares with us, the community of West Vancouver United Church partnered with a local artist to offer a three-part linocut workshop. The result was 14 linocut prints illustrating the 14 Stations of the Cross, created by participants ranging in age from 10 to 80, and later brought together into an online devotional for Holy Week. The Stations of the Cross invite us to contemplate Jesus’ final journey to the cross and what that journey teaches us about grace and the immensity of God’s love for us. Each station is heavy. Take your time. For more infomation visit:

Lenten Litany of Fasting and FeastingWeek 6 Set aside some time to read these lines in a contemplative manner. Pay attention to which word or phrase jumps out at you. Let that word or phrase work in you throughout the day. Maybe post this somewhere in your home, reading it at different times to see what else emerges for you during the week. Fast from negatives; Feast on affirmatives. Fast from unrelenting pressures; Feast on unceasing prayer. Fast from idle gossip; Feast on purposeful silence. Fast from problems that overwhelm; Feast on prayer that undergirds. From "A Lenten Prayer" by William Arthur Ward
