Sunday Worship: Celebrating Earth DayApril 26, 10:15–11:30 am Special for Earth Day: 10:15–10:30 am Join us for a beautiful pre-service offering of nature poetry read by Karen Dickey and music performed by Jennifer Turner. 10:30–11:30 am This week we celebrate International Earth Day by focusing on our deep, primordial connection with creatures, plants and the land. We hear from Job, who tells us to actively seek wisdom directly from Nature. His words raise questions as to how a human could possibly learn from a being who is other-than-human, particularly for those of us raised in a modern Western culture. In response, we’ll turn to science, scripture, mysticism and mythology to explore our ancient, intrinsic kinship with the natural world and move us to live fully within our shared divinity. Poem of the Week"Canticle of Brother Sun and Sister Moon" by St. Francis of Assisi Most High, all-powerful, all-good Lord, All praise is Yours, all glory, all honour and all blessings. To you alone, Most High, do they belong, and no mortal lips are worthy to pronounce Your Name. Praised be You my Lord with all Your creatures, Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars,
