Qigong (sometimes spelled ‘chi kung’) is a modern umbrella term for a varied group of gentle ancient exercises meant to unify body, breath, and mind. These exercises are meant to assist in a broad spectrum of areas in support of overall health and well-being by repairing and preventing ailments of the muscles, bones, nerves, joints, and cardio-vascular system of the human body, and have been practiced successfully by people in many age-groups over a very long period of history.
This weekly 90-minute class provides methods and practice in support of general and specific comfort and mobility, circulation, balance and coordination, muscular and joint development and ability, social interaction, and more. Classes will be accessible to absolute beginners, as well as to those with experience from our previous sessions.
Trial class free - $45/ per month
Drop-ins are not ideal for student progress, but can be accommodated at $15.00 per class you attend.
Please wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, and bring a change of indoor shoes, preferably with a flat sole. Students are encouraged to bring a notebook to record details for practice at home. There is drinking water and washroom facilities on-site. Classes are indoors and some participants are sensitive to perfumes and odours, so please be as scent-free as possible when attending.
