Tuesday, October 20 | 7:00 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm
Join us for a very special concert featuring not one, but two of Canada's most respected jazz flutists!
Celebrated Toronto flutist Bill McBirnie joins forces with Vancouver flutist Jeremy Price for an exciting evening celebrating the music of legendary jazz composer Horace Silver.
Rising to prominence with the Jazz Messengers in the 1950s, Horace Silver went on to become one of the most respected and prolific composers in modern jazz. His distinctive compositions, full of infectious rhythms and soulful melodies, remain jazz classics.
For this special performance, Silver's timeless music will be reimagined for two outstanding jazz flutists, backed by an all-star rhythm section featuring Hungarian-born virtuoso pianist Attila Fias, Vancouver bassist Dan Howard, and extraordinary Nanaimo-based drummer Graham Villette.
