Hilde’s last Sunday
Easter Sunday is Hilde’s last Sunday with us. We are so grateful to her for her presence with us these last 7 months … especially her readiness to extend her time so that we would have her leadership through to Easter. Please make an extra point of joining us during coffee time after the service when we will have an opportunity to personally express our gratitude to Hilde. |
A Question for You - for the AGM
We are looking forward to gathering in the Sanctuary for our AGM on Wednesday, April 3rd at 7pm. This year we have a “Question for Reflection” that we would appreciate you thinking about ahead of time. We will have on hand a “roving mic” so we all will have an opportunity to hear those responses. If you are unable to attend — or will be there in person but would prefer to have your thoughts read out by someone on the Board — we would love to receive your responses by Tuesday, April 2nd. Please send those to Hilde at rev.hildejamesbayunited@hotmail.com using the subject line “AGM Comment” So here is the question: What do you think distinguishes James Bay United Church from other organisations in the James Bay neighbourhood? See you there … whether in person or in spirit! For more infomation visit: https://www.jamesbayunited.com/events/annual-general-meeting--522/2024-04-03

Flowers, flowers, flowers!
If you would like to be part of creating an extra sense of celebratory beauty for Easter morning, you are invited to bring some flowers to decorate the Sanctuary— whether a Spring bouquet or a bright potted plant, something you’ve purchased or an array from your own garden. Vases will be available if needed. Please arrive with your flowers no later than 10am. And please, NO LILIES — as beautiful as Easter lilies are, their fragrance can be problematic for some people. |
