Rev. Greg on Vacation Until August 26

Rev. Greg will be taking some well-deserved summer holidays from July 30 until his return on August 26.

For the curious, he’ll be spending most of August at the family cottage near Ottawa – doing, in his own words, “basically nothing.” (He also wants to say how incredibly grateful he is for the privilege of this time away.)

Sunday Worship & Summer EnLightenment Series

Sunday Worship & Summer EnLightenment Series

Sunday 1 of 5 - July 27 at 10:15 am

This week we begin our lay-led Summer EnLightenment series drawing upon Barbara Brown Taylor’s book “Holy Envy — Finding God in the Faith of Others”. We will hear how, in teaching a Religion 101 class at a small liberal arts college in Georgia, her Christian journey is enriched by the inspiration — indeed “holy envy” — that she experiences through aspects of various other world religions. Join us for this expansive worship experience!

Presiding: Anne Manikel
Reflection Reader: Sarah Hovey

Scripture: Psalm 138 (an excerpt from Nan C. Merrill’s “Psalms for Praying”)
Read responsively by Karen Halliday

Afghan Refugee Family in Pakistan

Thank you for your continued support of this ministry. The family remains in Islamabad, awaiting the next steps in their journey to permanent residence in Canada. While the weather has cooled slightly since June, it remains humid, and recent flooding in the area has added to daily challenges.
