Video and Streaming at JBUCpractice going to youtube We have been slowly adopting the use of online audio and video tools over the last few years and NOW is the time for you to get familiar with them. Its simple. Follow the link below and watch the short video. It's a basic scrolling text - no sound. Say to yourself 'hmmmm that was interesting and not that difficult'. Click on James Bay United YouTube Channel. Hit the big SUBSCRIBE Button. AND while you are there turn up your volume and check out last weeks sermon. THIS SUNDAY and Perhaps for Tuesday Night Jazz, we will try to 'live stream' to this video channel. IF we are successful, you should see a 'live feed' start at this location at about 15 minutes before the worship or concert. IF we are not successful, a video of at least the scripture reading and sermon will be online by 2pm same day (Sunday). And then we will try again to get it right next time. We want you to stay in touch. So send us email to let us know if you experience technical challenges. Hang out with us on Facebook and YouTube. It will be fun and a good experience of how our technology can serve us. |

A Celebration of LifeJoyce Willems WILLEMS, B. Joyce It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Willems announces her sudden passing after a brief illness. Joyce passed away peacefully on March 7, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Joyce will be joining her cherished husband Harry in heaven. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Marcus (Erin), Grant (Jo), Heather (John), Karla (Byron) and Lynn (Joe). Sadly missed by grandchildren Sean, Ryan, Jordan, Graham, Justin, Nick and Emma. Mom, you radiated love to all with a God-given smile. Your courage, compassion and warmth have deeply touched so many. You will be forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday March 17th at 2:30pm at James Bay United Church, 511 Michigan Street, Victoria BC V8V 1S1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joyce’s beloved church, James Bay United. |
