long weekend ~ short Enews
This is a short message in a very full week. I truly hope you are doing something wonderful in this summer sun that is bathing our long weekend. Perhaps you are attending tomorrow's outdoor concert by the Victoria Symphony (thanks for the photo Christine) or something else equally magical. The invitation is here to join others in worship on Sunday morning and also a video of our friend Louise Rose offering her worship in the form of storytelling and song. Blessings on your journeys wherever you are this week. Gordon |
Sunday WorshipSunday, July 31, 10:15 AM Our life as God’s beloved was never meant to grow stale, become static. Wholehearted Faith ... that’s the phrase Rachel Held Evans uses to describe an expansive and healing and evolving way of being in relationship with the Divine, with our neighbours, with ourselves. Whole-Hearted Faith. For these next 2 weeks, Rachel’s reflections from her book with that title, continue to inform the themes and the shape of our services, inviting us to wonder and wrestle perhaps, as she has wondered and wrestled, with matters of life and faith. The invitation is to experience for ourselves what it is welcome and respond to Love’s July 31st: Today we are invited to dwell in the wonder of Love’s limitless goodness. Reader: Carol Garceau Presider: Colleen Nichol Reflection “On the Days When I believe” from Wholehearted Faith, by Rachel Held Evans For more infomation visit:
