Dinner + Movie NightJuly 12 at 6 pm This Saturday, July 12, join us for a summer evening of food, fellowship, and film at James Bay United Church. We’ll start with a potluck picnic dinner. We’ll have all the fixings for Dagwood sandwiches ready on the counter, and you're also invited to bring cold salads, deli meats, cheese, or desserts to share. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. at the back entrance, and we aim to have dishes done in record time! We'll also enjoy a screening of the award-winning film “Anatomy of a Fall”, a tense and brilliant mystery that won Best International Feature at the Oscars and accolades at the Golden Globes and Toronto Film Festival. The courtroom drama keeps us all wondering... For more infomation visit: http://jamesbayunited.com/events/dinner-movie-night/2025-07-12

Sunday WorshipJuly 13 at 10:15 am This Sunday, the story of the Good Samaritan comes up in the Lectionary. It is a cornerstone story of the Christian tradition and one that has motivated good works for millennia. It's also a story of in-group out-group tribalism, discrimination, assault, and robbery. Fortunately it ends as a feel-good story, but has a pretty rough start. We'll consider the ways people are excluded and discriminated against today and how to love God and neighbour through acts of service. Welcome: Rev. Greg Powell For more infomation visit:
