Sunday Worship

Sunday Worship

Sunday, June 4th: 10am - This Sunday’s service will draw you into the gathering of people from United Church communities of faith all across the province. I’m anticipating that Jacqui Lewis will be the preacher ... you can read about her here. I’m guessing too that she has been chosen as the keynote speaker for the 3 day meeting in light of our denomination’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist church.  For those who wish to join the livestream in the company of others, a warm welcome awaits you at our Michigan Street sanctuary. The doors will be open at 9:45am and the live stream will begin at 10am. If you are joining from home, here is your link for the livestream.

Singing Our Faith

Singing Our Faith

looking ahead to next Sunday

Sunday, June 11, 10:15am In Person & LiveStreamed

A wonderful array of hymns choices have been submitted by people of the congregation. Jennifer, Judy and Gordon will share in the instrumental accompaniment.  Those who put forward their touchstone hymns are preparing to speak about why that particular piece resonates in such a meaningful way.  Now all that’s needed is a full house to give voice to these songs that have been known to sustain and encourage us, to unite us across our differences, express our convictions, our daring hopes, our  prayers and praise.

You won’t want to miss it!

It has been a while since our beloved Karen Pollett, with her beloved Molly, has been part of our in person gatherings.  In the meantime, for as long as it has meant something to Karen, Kam has shown up faithfully every Sunday to connect Karen through our livestream.

Karen is pictured here, with Kam, on her 70th birthday, where she was surrounded and celebrated by family (3 generations!)  and friends last Saturday.
