Take a look at some moments from our Welcome Lunch —a warm and lively time of food, friendship, and community.

The JBUC Sunday Worship Choir will sing on Sunday, June 9 for Pentecost Sunday. Anyone in the community is welcome to participate, regardless of experience or ability. If you’re new or curious about singing in the choir for the first time, please know that your voice is truly welcome.

We’ll hold two rehearsals in preparation for this service. Rehearsal files will be provided so you can practice on your own. Ideally, you’ll be able to attend both rehearsals, but at a minimum, plan to attend at least one.

Our Afghan refugee family in Pakistan recently received letters of protection and an invitation for biometrics—an encouraging step forward in their journey to safety in Canada. The process is moving faster than expected, and preparations are underway to welcome them when the time comes.

In the wake of the recent tragedy, we stand united with the Filipino community. Together, we mourn, we support, and we continue to share love and strength. Let us all come together in this time of grief, offering compassion and solidarity.
