The world as a home of homesre-igniting the longing for it This Thursday January 7th at 5pm, tune in to an interactive on-line lecture with Miroslav Volf. His theme: Humans have always longed to be at home in the world. Yet today, we seem further away than ever from realizing that dream, more alienated than ever from the “world of things” around us. Drawing on the resources of the Christian tradition, this lecture will sketch a vision of the world as a "home of homes" and attempt to reignite longing for it. “Values for a New World” is a series of lectures sponsored by the John Albert Hall Lectures (Anglican Diocese of BC and the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at UVic).
