Movie: 'Woman at War'

Selected by our very own movie buff: Gary Brandstadt

An Icelandic film (!), director Benedikt Erlingsson.  The description in one movie review: 'a very idiosyncratic comedy that communicates important topical messages while never being less than a joy to watch. The heroine is something to behold---a mild-mannered middle-aged choir mistress (also a tai-chi enthusiast and great fan of Gandhi and Mandela), her other life is as a highly adept saboteur, seriously dabbling in ecoterrorism. To add to the nonsense, a sousaphone-playing trio pops up regularly in the highland tundra she is trying to save to add commentary to the action.' Have fun with this one!
