Young trumpeter Owen Chow has become a favourite at Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church both through his participation in the Young Artist Series and also as a special guest with diverse groups including visiting artists Kate Wyatt, Adrian Vedady and traditional jazz great Lloyd Arntzen.
For this special presentation, Owen brings together a renowned quartet of some of the West Coast’s greatest jazz musicians, featuring special guest pianist Brent Jarvis, longtime musical associates John Mossie on bass and Kelby MacNayr on drums.
In the special concert, trumpeter Owen Chow celebrates his first great musical influence – the legendary jazz trumpeter and iconic vocalist Chet Baker!
Join us for a wonderful evening as we celebrate the timeless music of one of jazz’s, most treasured and revered vocalists and instrumental soloists.
