Renowned multi-instrumentalist and composer John Lee takes centre stage on guitar with an all-star trio, celebrating the classic sounds of the early Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole trios.
Fresh from his latest recording session for the acclaimed Cellar Live label, John brings his swinging guitar style to a lineup featuring Tony Genge on piano and Louis Rudner on bass. Together, they explore the rich interplay of guitar, piano, and bass in this timeless jazz tradition.
Tuesday Night Jazz audiences have enjoyed John’s remarkable versatility on bass, drums, and piano, including his appearances with Kelby MacNayr’s Tiny Rhythm Kings alongside Tony Genge on Hammond organ. This new trio offers another chance to experience his extraordinary musicianship, with longtime musical friends joining him on stage.
