Please join us for Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church for a special live stream presentation featuring host Kelby MacNayr and special guest, the renowned violinist Richard Moody! 

Richard Moody has spent the last many years traversing the globe in folk music traditions, gypsy jazz and classical music.  A gifted improviser and soulful musician, Richard’s music brings together numerous influences to connect with the heart and soul of the listener.  Celebrating a recent recording of the Richard Moody jazz quartet, this evening’s presentation features the yet to be released material from that session in a dynamic and interactive discussion between Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church host Kelby MacNayr and special guest Richard Moody.

Canadian saxophonist Roy Styffe is regarded as one of the country's most lyrical and gifted improvisers. Drawing on influences from Charlie Parker to Cannonball Adderley, from Paul Desmond to Dick Oats Roy has created his own sound and a beautiful musical identity.
 
This night features a special concert LIVE-STREAMING in high quality video and audio celebrating some of the great standards in jazz, heard in new ways and rooted in the classic sound of the Quartet!

Richard Moody jazz quartet

A renowned musician in the jazz, swing and funk/fiddle music traditions, violinist Richard Moody is a powerful creative force on Canada’s West Coast. With numerous recordings under his belt as a leader and side man Richard brings his Jazz quartet to Tuesday night jazz at the church for a night of swinging standards and originals. Trying on a recent collaboration and recording session this quartet brings together distinct voice is from Victoria’s musical seen including pianist Brent Jarvis, bassist Joey Smith Andrew Moore Kelly MacNayr.
