Celebrate ten years of song, story, and the return of the light with vocalist Cari Burdett and an all-star ensemble: Adrian Dolan, Quin Etheridge Redden, Scott White, Adam Dobres, and Maeve Iredale.
For ten years, vocalist and artistic director Cari Burdett has brought community together in celebration of the Winter Solstice — weaving song, story, and heart into an evening of stillness, reflection, and renewal.
Celebrated across the world in many traditions, the Winter Solstice honors the darkest nights of the year and the gradual return of the light — a time to pause, listen, and reconnect.
Join us for an unforgettable evening honoring the turning of the season and our shared connection through sound.

This year’s program features Gordon Lightfoot’s beloved Song for a Winter Night, a 16th-century Old English text set to music, solstice carols, classical guitar, string ensemble, touches of jazz, rich vocal harmonies, audience sing-along moments, and brand-new original compositions created especially for this Solstice season.
Five percent of proceeds support Mischa Lelum, the Cowichan Valley Youth Emergency Shelter for youth ages 15–18.
