Our Winter Season starts Thursday, January 15th, 2026
SingYourJoy’s Emerge Choir is a non-auditioned, affordable community choir for youth. Through weekly rehearsals and several performance opportunities during the year, these young people learn musical and life skills. They learn to cooperate as a group, encouraging and motivating each other to reach their potential. Singers learn vocal technique, music reading skills, solfege, and performance and listening skills.
the Emerge Program, (ages 10-16) rehearses from 4:30pm to 6pm on Thursday evenings.
Rehearsals take place at James Bay United Church, 511 Michigan St. Victoria BC

James Bay United Church, through its expansive approach to Arts Ministry, is proud to host the SingYourJoy Children’s Chorus in the Sanctuary weekly. We see their work with children is in alignment with our core values. They offer a welcoming inclusive environment for children to learn new skills and become part of a community that experiences joy through shared song. In and through their work we glimpse the sacred.
