Christmas Eve is on its way (it's like clockwork...), and we’re beginning preparations for our beloved 4pm Christmas Pageant. If you’ve ever thought about taking part in this festive telling of the Nativity story, this is the moment to step in.

We’re delighted to share that Milt Papageorge will be directing this year’s pageant — a wonderful gift in itself! Sarah Hovey is hard at work refreshing the script, and Jennifer Turner is gathering a children’s choir to help sing and tell the story in a joyful, engaging way.

That leaves several roles open for pageant players of all ages. Whether you’ve participated before or have always wanted to give it a try, we would love to have you involved. And if someone comes to mind who might enjoy being part of the cast, please feel free to pass along the invitation — all are welcome.

Rehearsal Schedule

All rehearsals take place at the church:

  • Sunday, December 7 at 1:15pm
(right after the adult choir rehearsal)

  • Sunday, December 15 at 1:15pm

  • Dress Rehearsal: Christmas Eve at 2pm

Young Angels and Shepherds Needed for Christmas Eve Service

We are also looking for young angels and shepherds (ages 6 to 14) to help lead our music during the Christmas story for the young and young at heart at 4pm on Christmas Eve. Rehearsal is on December 14 from 11:45 to 12:15, and the dress rehearsal is at 2pm on Christmas Eve. No experience necessary—either in herding sheep or bearing messages from God.

If you’re interested, please get in touch with Rev. Greg at greg.powell@jamesbayunited.com — and thank you for considering being part of this special Christmas tradition.
