Special Event!

Join us on Saturday, May 31 at 2 PM for a very special concert, celebrating the intergenerational, informal mentorship that is the hallmark of the jazz tradition.

Featuring the young trumpeter Henry Baker, recently returned from studies in Montreal, this special concert pairs emerging and senior artists, celebrating a shared love of the music of the great trumpeter Clifford Brown in the famous Clifford Brown/Max Roach Quintet!

Featuring renowned Canadian saxophonist Roy Styffe, the swinging West Coast pianist Dr. Tony Genge, bassist Peter Dowse, and drummer Kelby MacNayr, this quintet will pay homage to the classic jazz sound of one of the most influential trumpet players—and one of the most influential drummers—of all time in the classic Clifford Brown/Max Roach Quintet.
