Wrap up the year with a swinging celebration of 2025 and welcome 2026 the Tuesday Night Jazz way — with live trad jazz, dancing, and a midnight toast!

This is both a concert and a swing dance. Come to dance, come to listen, or do a little bit of both. Everyone is welcome.

Schedule

8:00 pm – Swing Dance Lesson
Start with an everyone-welcome beginner lesson and warm-up led by renowned dance teachers, historians, and all-around awesome humans: Joel & Louise Schwartz. No experience needed.

9:00 pm – Midnight – Live Music + Swing Dance
Live trad jazz all night featuring the incredible Lloyd Arntzen (clarinet), the fabulous young trumpet player Owen Chow, swinging drummer & vocalist Kelby MacNayr, bassist Peter Dowse, and special guest Solomon Douglas (piano & voice).

Admission

By donation (suggested $20–$40, but all are welcome)

Notes

  • Seating available on the main floor, sides, and balcony
  • A lightly carpeted dance floor (yes, we know — Joel & Louise assure us it’s “just fine”)
  • We’ll have a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage for a midnight toast
