The people of James Bay United Church have opened the sanctuary of the beautiful heritage building at 511 Michigan on Tuesday evenings for the benefit of the local community.

Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church presents a very special night of soulful, swinging old-school jazz featuring special guest  -Vancouver's own - tenor saxophone great, Mike Allen with the renowned jazz organist Dr. Tony Genge, and power-house drummer Kelby MacNayr!

Music from the classic organ masters Jimmy Smith, Shirley Scott, Dr. Lonnie Smith & Larry Young.

And with the help of local jazz legend Kelby MacNayr, we're bringing some of the best of the best in the Victoria jazz scene to the heart of James Bay ~ A venue without distractions ~ where the focus is you, the music and the sacred space to listen.

  • A suggested donation of $10 (as you are able) will be taken at the door.

  • Accessibility ramp is available on the west side of the building.
