Pianist and composer Zack Santella blends multiple musical influences, rooted in the great tradition of jazz piano, viewed through a contemporary lens.

Raised in a musical household by famed Canadian vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Anne Schaefer, Zack was immersed in numerous World Music influences and a community of local jazz and world music professionals, including Scott White, Daniel Lapp, Pablo Cardenas, Joby Baker, and Kelby MacNayr. His musical upbringing included drum studies with Kelby MacNayr and piano lessons with Pablo Cardenas, followed by formal studies at Canada’s foremost jazz program at McGill University.

After spending several years in Montreal's vibrant world music and contemporary jazz scene, Zack relocated to Canada’s West Coast, where he now works as a pianist, keyboardist, and producer in jazz and popular music, balancing performing and producing.

For this special trio concert, Zack brings together long-time musical friends, bassist Scott White and drummer Kelby MacNayr, with a guest cameo by Anne Schaefer on vocals.

Join us for a wonderful evening of traditional jazz piano with a contemporary twist!___________________________________
