IN-PERSON and
Live-Stream LINK

Tuesday June 21, 2022

Pianist Tom Vickrey has been a staple of the Victoria just scene for over 40 years, beginning his long association with Hermann's Jazz Club with traditional and straight ahead jazz.

Originally from the East Coast, and following a distinguished career in the Canadian Navy Band Branch as a trumpet player, conductor and pianist, Tom Vickery ended up as one of the most in demand piano players in the city.

With an irrepressible spirit and joyous swing, the self-taught Vickery has carved a niche for himself as a personality at the piano, dedicated to celebrating the art form, connecting with audiences and nurturing up-and-coming musicians.

Featuring longtime collaborative bassist Robert Johnson and drummer Kelby MacNayr the trio celebrates their arrangements of both well loved and rare jazz standards.
