Michigan-born bassist Louis Rudner earned a reputation as a hard swinging bass player, inventive soloist and team player while pursuing his Masters in Jazz Performance at Michigan State University. After relocating to Victoria four years ago, Louis has become a mainstay of the local scene as well as a first-call for visiting artists.

In this special presentation, Louis brings together the renowned tenor saxophonist Ryan Oliver and stellar drummer Kelby MacNayr to explore the quintessential saxophone, bass, drums trio setting in jazz. Drawing inspiration from the recordings of saxophonists Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane and more, this trio will be full of joyful exuberance and playfulness.

Masks required on the main floor, masks optional in balcony.
