Welcoming Hilde Seal

Note: Rev. Hilde Seal will be joining James Bay United on September 1st for six months. Here's a brief introduction to our new Supply Minister.

Hilde is an animator of the Holy, she is one who walks with creation and she is in touch with her inner child.  

Semi-retired, Rev. Hilde Seal has been a member of the United Church of Canada for all her life, serving with congregations in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.   

As a Spiritual Director Hilde accompanies persons of all ages and stages as they seek God in the ordinary and in the chaos of life.   

As a Death Doula, she creates safe and bold places, working with people as they navigate the emotional, practical, spiritual and logistical aspects of dying, death and grief.   

Hilde’s Spiritual Practices include: silence, walking in the forest, a daily meditation by the water and living into the ‘Alphabet of the Heart’. She loves to cycle, walk, visit animals of all kinds, ride her motorcycle and spend time with family and friends.
