The Chase Ward Trio is a project dedicated to the art of storytelling and improvisation. Welcome to Tuesday Night Jazz, where musical excellence and passion for the arts converge. As part of our mandate, we proudly celebrate the rich tapestry of talent within our city, including seasoned senior artists whose brilliance knows no bounds. But our commitment to the musical ecosystem goes beyond honoring established talent. We believe in nurturing the next generation of artists, guiding them along their creative journey. Introducing the Tuesday Night Jazz Young Artist Series—a platform designed to empower emerging talents to share their musical prowess with our audience. With the support of mentors, these budding artists have the opportunity to shine on our stage, fostering growth and innovation in our vibrant community. Join us as we champion the spirit of mentorship and musical exploration. As the great bassist, mentor and educator John Clayton has often said: "I'm doing it for you because someone did it for me, and you will do it for the next person." And so we are. Collectively. James Bay Community ChoirWelcoming new singers - Wednesday, April 24, 7pm Welcome back to a new season of the James Bay Community Chorus. It's time for us to tune up our voices, plan our season together and invite friends to join us in song on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30pm. Last year we discovered that there is a pent up demand for community singing in our neighbourhood. We are growing on the friendships and skills we built together last year. Our rehearsals are happening now, and we look forward to meeting you soon! Plans are afoot for performance opportunities over the course of the next 10 months. These include performing for our local seniors and participating in a joint concert with other local choirs in May. Stay tuned for details.
