Daniel Janke Trio

James Bay United Church
Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church Presents
Daniel Janke Trio

Daniel Janke Trio

April 14, 7:00–8:30 pm

Whitehorse-based, international touring pianist and composer Daniel Janke brings his special Winter Trio project to Tuesday Night Jazz!

Featuring music that is both enigmatic and universal, and stories and experiences both personal and collective, Janke weaves together compositions that explore the sonic and emotional possibilities of three distinctive instruments, and three distinctive artists.

Working from a shared interest in improvisation and musical storytelling, the trio of Daniel Janke, Scott White, and Kelby MacNayr is a living, breathing musical entity, finding its way through — and with — the musical magic of the moment.

Admission: by donation ($20 suggested donation, but all are welcome regardless of funds)

Coastline Concerts Presents: Classical Guitarists

Coastline Concerts Presents: Classical Guitarists

April 17, 7:00–8:30 pm

Join us for an incredible evening of music featuring two world-class guitarists: Aurora Orsini (Rome, Italy) and Josh Searles (Sunshine Coast, BC).

Aurora Orsini is a classical guitarist from Rome who has built a dynamic career as a touring artist, performing throughout Europe and the Americas. Among her most significant projects are a recent six-city tour in Peru — featuring concerts and masterclasses at major universities — and her upcoming Canadian tour in 2026, a new milestone in her expanding international career.

Josh J. Searles has spent a lifetime honing his craft across various genres and instruments. He has performed classical guitar in solo concerts and chamber music, French horn in quartets, orchestras, and concert bands, as well as his more avant-garde music: live electronica utilizing outboard synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, computers, and live instruments. In addition to his prolific music career, Searles has contributed scores to films that have premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Tickets: $20 at the door (or $25 plus fees online)
