Beverley & Duncan McLean

On Sunday, June 12, during the worship service at James Bay United Church, Duncan and Beverley McLean renewed their marriage vows in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The bride & groom each were attended by a sister and a good friend who stood up for them both today and 50 years ago. The groom was splendidly attired in a McLean tartan kilt. The bride was radiant in a gorgeous outfit with an Asian flair. Their friend, Debbie Burnham, presented the bride with a bouquet of deep red roses bound with ribbon. The groom received a boutonnière spray of roses and baby's breath.

Reverend Karen Dickey related details of the wedding, introduced the attendants, and led in the renewal of the vows. The vows were sealed with a kiss.

The congregation blessed the couple with a Prayer for Renewal. Choir member Louise n ha 'Ruby sang a glorious Lord's Prayer, accompanied by Music Directer Daniel Brandes.

After the service the couple posed for photos and then left with their attendants.  The next day they began their trip to Saskatchewan to continue the celebration with their family and attend their grandson's graduation.
