There is much emerging in this Season of Easter. It’s time to turn our gaze to the amazing things that are happening in and around our faith community.

Our Thrift Shop Team has found a safe way to be open and serve our neighbourhood. They are thriving. And they are supporting and encouraging each other, being a vital presence in the neighbourhood. The gardens are being worked and revitalized by Bev, Janice, Lorraine, Kam and Franklyn and we have had wonderful offers of help from our neighbours. John says he wants to cut our lawn for us and powerwash the steps and patio, Jeff has offered to scrape and sand our metal railings, Ted has helped feed the homeless community from our kitchen. The Social Justice Team is working on a new initiative to help house a senior couple currently living in Beacon Hill Park. We have just completed our Bystander Intervention Training thanks to Denise, Maryanne and Terisa. Jazz musicians are recording in our sanctuary weekly and offering the fruits of their work online periodically. The James Bay Children’s Chorus has expanded in the last year, can you believe it !? And Sandra is excited about their fall season potentially back in the sanctuary.

And this is just what comes to mind in this moment … there is so much more.

Bev Tracey said to me this morning “just by being present and part of the community miracles are happening, people are coming forward without being asked. It truly is a miracle.”

What miracles are you noticing from where you are we wonder.
