The Message: Rev. Karen Dickey
The Music: Daniel Brandes
The Assembled: ALL OF US :-)

ORDER OF SERVICE:

Song: MV 84 In You There is Refuge

In you there is a refuge,
in you we find our peace.
When all we know is chaos may our trust in you increase.
In you there is a silence,
in you our minds are clear.
When all we hear is discord
may your quiet draw us near.
In you there is a vision,
in you we learn to dream.
When all we see is desert
may you be our living stream.
In you there is a future,
in you we find our way.
When hope has shed its brightness
may you show us a new day.

Opening Prayer

Whether by some stirring of your Spirit
or some habit of our heart ~
Maybe it’s our hunger for hope
or some agony inside  --
whatever it is that brings us to this place today
we pray that you meet us right here.
Let us not lie about the struggle, the grief.
And neither let us resist your wisdom
that makes a way where there is no way.
We pray in the name of the one through whom
all things hold together, Jesus the Christ.  Amen

Song: MV 106 I am the Dream

Scripture: 1Kings 19: 4-13a

Message: Rev. Karen Dickey

Song: VU 278 In the Quiet Curve of Evening

Offering: Song of Dedication

To this day I bring my life,
born of hope, born of sand.
Yearning joy where now there’s strife,
All I have, all I am.
Help me to see what we must see.
Help me to be what we must be.
Restless faith abide til all are free,
Fill my life, turn my hand.

To this day we bring our lives,
born of hope, born of sand.
Yearning joy where now there’s strife,
All we have, all we are.
Help us to see what we must see.
Help us to be what we must be.
Restless faith abide til all are free,
Fill our lives, turn our hands.
